The original title was “Tree Luck,” word play on Trilok (Gurtu), the Indian drummer/composer who inspired many elements in this song. As Jorge prepared to record this song, the lyrics came to him as an artistic call into action. Eventually, the theme broadened: Now is the time to speak up and take an active part in building a kinder, healthier world. The song conveys a sense of urgency. The time is now, seize it. "Hold me, don’t hold me, here I go" refers to the struggle between fear and courage.
