A Brazilian samba, “Pra Brasil” is a song of gratitude to South America’s largest country for the gift of its music. Jorge dedicates the song to his sister, Patricia, who spent time in Rio de Janeiro and returned loaded with hundreds of amazing songs, which then filled up their home. In those days, Jorge soaked up in the richness of Brazil’s MPB’s (Música Popular Brasileira’s) harmonies, melodies, and rhythms. Decades later, when seeking inspiration for this album, Jorge revisited this wonderful music.
